Role: Network QA Automation Duration: 6-12 months H1B ok Location: San Jose, CA Rate: $50/hr We are seeking a self-motivated Network Testing/QA Automation Engineer to work on challenging projects in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should have experience with automation testing on Layer 2 networking protocols. Required Skills/Experience: - Five plus years of experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer having experience in applying testing methodologies, create test plans, execute & automate test cases; perform system testing, bug tracking and report generation for software features & enhancements . - Layer 2: Hands-on experience with L2 Switching protocols like VLAN, STP, MSTP, RSTP, LACP, trunking - Languages: TCL, iTCL, Perl, C , C++ - Traffic tools: IXIA, Spirent, Smartbits, Agilent Router Tester, QA Robot - Hands-on experience testing Cisco switches or routers using Autotest, ATS EASY, is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with different test, development, and support groups. - Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once and work independently with minimal managerial oversight. - Typically requires MSEE/CS combined with 5-7 years of related experience or BSEE/CS combined with 7-10+ years of experience - Must be an excellent team player, able to work in a cross functional team and drive consensus on proposed design and implementation.
