Job Title: Solutions Engineer / Architect. Location :AUSTIN, TX *Duration: 9 - 12 MONTHS - Possible Extension * *Rate: $60/hr on C2C MAX* • An MS degree or other industry certifications including Citrix, VMware, and MS are preferred. The Solutions Engineer / Architect will be responsible for managing the design, development, configuration, optimization, and validation of all hardware and software components of the client's end to end desktop virtualization solutions. Components include the client's servers, storage, networking, operating systems, server hypervisors, VDI suites, from VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft as well as 3rd party applications from other established and emerging software providers. •Will be expected to work in conjunction with team members, vendors, customers, strategic partners, and others to develop characterize, and validate reference architectures that are optimized for key design points and deliver a committed performance SLA. •Will also will develop white papers, best practices, solutions guides, and other technical collateral around these virtualization solutions and technologies. In addition, the engineer will interface with technical contacts at partner companies to resolve engineering issues pertaining to software and hardware. *Other responsibilities include: * • Working with hardware and software partners and the client's internal teams to define, develop, and launch virtualization solutions • Manage technical relationships with key development partners to develop new products and features for solutions offerings • Identifying and driving product requirements into external and internal partner organizations • Driving cross functional development efforts through the conception, planning, development, and sustaining of integrated end to end virtualization solutions • Managing development efforts within approved processes • Being the technical expert and resource for virtualization solutions *Qualifications and experience: * • Experience in data center operations principles in a virtual infrastructure. • Client graphics and client remoting technologies: RDP, VDI, GPUs, etc. • VMware technologies such as ESXi, vCenter, and View. • Citrix technologies such as XenApp, XenServer, and HDX. • Windows Hyper-V, VMware vSphere, and XenServer experience. • VMware view and Citrix XenDesktop experience required. • Experience with application virtualization and streaming technologies such as App-V, Citrix XenApp, Thinapp, or others. • Experience with systems management principles including management tools and lifecycles specifically related to managing a VDI infrastructure. • Experience with enterprise hardware and technologies including storage controllers, Ethernet adapters, memory modules, processor models, remote management cards. • Experience with enterprise storage solutions including iSCSI, FC, NAS, and other technologies. Specific experience with the client's Equalogic and Compellent solutions is desired. • Software development experience is preferred. • Experience leading project teams located in multiple geographic locations. • Testing with automated scripts or test harnesses in a heterogeneous OS environment will be a plus. • Should have good written and verbal communication skills and strong teamwork capabilities. * Thanks & Regards....?
