And *they * *MUST have worked at some point with MySQL* - Build database schemes, tables, procedures and permissions. - Set up data sharing and disk partitioning. - *Create, test and execute data management language (t-SQL). * - Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements. - Oversee backup, clustering, mirroring, replication, and failover. - Restore and recover corrupted database as applicable. - Install and test upgrades and patches. - Implement securities and encryption. - Evaluate and recommend new database technologies (reporting services, analytical services, etc) - Assist in the development of organizational, systems and technology goals; assist in the development of detailed plans for goal accomplishment. - Analyze information and technology needs from a strategic and operational perspective; determines requirements and resources and make recommendations. - Plan, organize and facilitate requirements gathering sessions and use a variety of elicitation techniques (interviews, surveys, etc) as appropriate to elicit end-user requirements. - Responsible for developing and maintaining monthly management reporting for systems and technology. - Serve as a technical resource for company-wide projects.
