Job Title: Application Project Manager Location: Fargo, ND Duration: 6+ Months Required Skills: The organization will be focusing on several projects that will involve designing and developing the company’s new Web Portal. This role will involve coordinating and meeting timelines involved in the delivery of associated web applications. Consultant Role: This role provides project leadership and management of projects throughout the entire project lifecycle. Projects vary depending on size and scope and will require flexibility and may require tailored project management solutions. Typical amount of project ranges from 2-3 at any given point. This position requires day-to-day management of project team personnel, communication with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure successful project execution. This role will also include direct interaction with a broad range of senior, technical and functional management and subject matter experts throughout the organization as well as outside vendors and contract workers. This role provides leadership and mentoring of less-senior project managers. This position will primarily work with technical related projects and will require prior experience in managing technical projects of increasing complexity showing a steady growth of success and responsibility. This individual will have a very strong application development background who is experienced in managing the SDLC software development lifecycle and can lead major software development initiatives. The candidate needs to be experienced in both agile and waterfall SDLC methodologies. Have strong knowledge in WebSphere, JAVA, .Net, and Oracle databases. Education and/or Experience Project Lifecycle and Project Management Best Practices(PMBOK) In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Project, Visio Knowledge of SDLC methodologies: Agile & Waterfall Experience in WebSphere, JAVA, .Net, and Oracle databases. In-depth knowledge of IS/IT operations Project Management terminology Multiple years experience with managing projects and coordinating internal teams, planning and estimating In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite In-depth knowledge of email, calendar/scheduling (Outlook or equivalent) Management theories and practices Human Resource theories and practices College degree with 7 to 10 years project management experience.
