*Description : * Information Security Administrator/Network Administrator Location: San Francisco, CA, Open 6+ months Responsible for Information security across network, servers, desktops, and applications. You will need to proactively identify and rank security risks, recommend solutions, work with affected departments to address the risk, and ensure that the remedy remains in effect. *Responsibilities: *Perform day-to-day administration and support of security infrastructure tools and systems, monitor performance/uptime and assist with installation and integration of new tools and systems. Work with various business units to drive adoption of security tools and transition support as appropriate. Supervise vulnerability scanning, participate in vulnerability assessment/remediation process, manage exclusion lists, participate in scanning solution upgrades. Review security logs, investigate suspicious events, identify security deficiencies, recommend and implement improvements. Provide escalated support on security issues and guidelines from end-users, developers, desktop-support specialists and system administrators. Troubleshoot security issues and assist with security incident responses and forensic investigations. Follow incident response process and lead response efforts when needed, determine incident impact and work with incident response team to develop an appropriate response/remediation strategy for incidents. Create and maintain documentation on security procedures, configurations and guidelines. Prepare formal and informal reports with security requirements on security incidents, system vulnerabilities, and ongoing compliance functions. Maintain relationships with vendors; interacting with vendor technical support, and participating in product upgrades Skills Required Qualifications: Strong educational background with BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related area. Certified with either CISSP or SANS GIAC. Three or more years experience in a similar position. Ability to perform and interpret vulnerability assessments. Ability to administer the operations of a security infrastructure. Experience with Symantec AntiVirus/Endpoint Protection, ArcSight, Bit9 and CyberArk. Experience working with IP networking, networking protocols and understanding of security related technologies including encryption, IPsec, PKI, VPNs, firewalls, proxy services, DNS, electronic mail and access-lists. Experience working with Internet, web, application and network security techniques.
