*Job Description : *
*Be responsible for owning the day-to-day operation and health of the Bing
lab network, ensuring that you have tools in place to maintain high
availability of all servers and applications that have network dependencies.
*
*Configuring L2 and L3 network switches which includes evaluating new
vendors and models, where evaluating includes testing, troubleshooting and
making formal recommendations based on findings*
*Be first responder to intermittent network issues (e.g. packet drops,
discards and random errors) that impede server/application performance.*
*Creating, troubleshooting and updating ACLs between switch ports, between
logical networks and between Active directory domains*
*Identify bottlenecks, single-points-of-failure and trouble spots then make
recommendations on a network that consists of >100 L2 switches and 6 routers
*
*Strong skills on Cisco 6509 and Nexus 7000*
*Good understanding of how to troubleshoot IPSec, IPv6, Active Directory
and DNS*
