Looking for a strong quality assurance engineer to work on testing J2EE web based applications as part of a fast paced, agile, very senior level team. QA engineers work closely with business sponsors, are encouraged to use current technologies where applicable, and are responsible for full life-cycle of quality assurance. Attention to detail, demonstrated high level of independence and personal responsibility are absolute requirements for this position. Primary focus will be providing full scale testing for our existing Foreign Exchange and Money Market trading and post execution systems. These systems allowing trading partners execute and then to settle large currency and currency derivatives trades. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to prepare overall testing strategy/plans iterative execution of that plan on a schedule evaluate and analyze requirements to produce and add new test cases automate test case execution via scripts bug investigation bug fix and deployment validation work closely with all the team members to make sure we deliver on our commitments Qualified candidates should have substantial and demonstrable experience in test plan preparation and execution (including manual and automated tests) accurately estimate test plan execution time test complex web applications (not just static content) improve test plan for more efficient execution and for better coverage test automation tools Qualified candidates should have solid knowledge and be comfortable working with bug tracking system like JIRA SQL and database tools for the validation of data SDLC Domain knowledge in Financial Services, Trading, Foreign Exchange, FIX, SWIFT, Java, JavaScript is a plus.
