*Flex Developer* Rate:Open Duration: 6 months+
Client is actively seeking a Flex Developer for a contract position with a New York City based financial services provider. Description The Internal Trade Activity and Reporting (ITARA) team, within Institutional Securities Group Technology (ISGT) needs an experienced Flex developer to work on web-based applications used to metadata that describes the data flow from systems, messages to internal data models. The candidate will work within the team responsible for developing and maintaining UI tools to map front office equity messages to relational database models used across ISGT. The application is at the firm wide level and will be used by most of the developers and integrators within the firm. This will become the standard of mapping, documenting, writing messages to various database sources. The candidate will need to understand the requirements for a broad range of users and be able to design and implement user interfaces using Flex to meet these requirements. There will be lot of scope to come up with and evaluate innovative solutions to the requirements. Requirements · The position requires 3-5 years of experience developing Flex-based enterprise web applications. Experience with Flex 4, along with the Parsley and Cairngorm frameworks is highly desired. · Experience designing and building user interfaces using Flex to add/edit and view data is required. The candidate should also be familiar with the design patterns used to design enterprise-level Flex applications. Desired Skills · Experience with a range of third-party/open-source Flex libraries would be beneficial. Familiarity with Flash Builder and source control tools such as Perforce would be helpful. · Some experience using Java, in particular any experience with Java web services, would be beneficial. Familiarity with Spring would also be useful. · Any exposure to FIX/XML messaging and general financial industry experience would be valuable. Basic database/SQL knowledge would be a plus.
