*Position Title: Network Engineer* *Location of Position: Hoffman Estates, IL* *Engagement Length: Approximately 26 weeks* * * *send me your resume @ sc...@itbtalent.com* Job Description & Skills: Project Overview: The Wireless Infrastructure team is responsible for a number of wireless network design, testing, management and support projects required to enable wireless/mobile applications, devices and services across several business units, including enterprise office campuses, supply chain sites, and retail store sites. This position will assist the Wireless Infra team and selected product suppliers in defining, performing and supporting wireless network, device, and application solutions configurations and deployment tests, including transition into an operations management and monitoring environment. Job Summary / Daily Responsibilities: Perform engineering design, configuration, testing, installation, upgrade, and support of wireless network and local area networks for wireless infrastructure products. Provide technical assistance to systems device and application testing teams for various systems projects. Provide coordination and assistance to vendors/suppliers. Required Skills/ Experience: Candidate must have strong knowledge and experience with the following networking technologies: L2/L3 (Ethernet, TCP/IP); SNMP; HTTP; telnet; WLAN communications and security; 802.11 a/b/g/N; 802.11af; WEP; 802.1x; WPA/TKIP; WPA2/AES/802.11i; WPS; WME/WMM/802.11e and QoS; Windows operating systems and utilities; Apple iOS operating systems and utilities. Experience configuring, using, and supporting the following network/wireless network infrastructure systems, products, and tools: Cisco 35xx series LAN switches; Cisco 123X and 124X wireless access points; Cisco series WLC2200/4400 controllers; AirMagnet/Fluke WiFi Analyzer, Spectrum Analysize, and VoFi Analyzer tools; Motorola series 6000 and 7000 access points and controllers; Meru AP300 series access points and series MC15xx/30xx controllers. Project management and coordination experience is also required, including use of basic project management and office communications tools including: MS/Excel; MS/Word, MS/Powerpoint, MS/Outlook, and MSVisio. Desired Skills/ Experience: Additional knowledge and experience working with the following wireless/mobile technologies and products are desired: Motorola/Symbol MC series handheld products Zebra QL series mobile printer products; LXE mobile handheld scanners and products; SolarWinds network management tool; Chariot network traffic tool; Experience / Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related area (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; and 5+ years related network experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (i.e. Associate Degree with significant applicable experience may also meet requirements).
