*Position : Teradata Architect Location : Ft Lauderdale,FL Duration : 6 months contract to hire -- Green Card and Citizens -- Face to face interview * MUST HAVES: 8+ years of experience working as Data Architect with Teradata (preferably v.12 or v.13) Experience modeling and designing a data warehouse Erwin or similar data modeling toolset Strong SQL skills Understanding of operational data models, data modeling patterns, data standards and integration techniques Experience designing both conceptual and logical models for the data warehouse Experience working with business requirements and mentoring members of the ETL development team Self-starter personality PLUSES: Experience working with Teradata Tools & Utilities (TTU) Experience working with SAS Experience working with Informatica tools or Datastage Role Our client's Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing team is in need of a Senior Data Architect to design, develop, and implement the overall data strategy working almost entirely with Teradata. You will become part of a team that has responsibility for enterprise data warehousing and business intelligence across all company lines of business. As a member of the team, you will participate in business requirements sessions, data model design walkthroughs and infrastructure reviews. You will also translate business requirements into technical database requirements and design. While serving as the SME (subject matter expert) for Business Applications and Infrastructure Solutions, you will design conceptual and logical models for the data warehouse as well as develop a deep understanding of business processes and technologies used. Additionally, you will define and/or improve data architecture and data management strategies by analyzing and documenting current data profiles and life cycles across business units. Finally, you will assist operational DBA personnel, communicate physical database designs to the database administrator, and help communicate the value of applying sounds data management standards and procedures.
