Role We are currently seeking for a results-oriented Sr. Developer/Engineer who demonstrates excellent problem solving and communication skills. The candidate must be a self-starter, but also a strong team player, with an experience base of at least 10 years in increasingly challenging assignments. Background should include design and development experience in high-traffic, high-visibility, high-quality, highly-scalable, highly-secure, high-transaction volume, and/or high-availability environments. Past experience in our specific solution domains will be a big plus. The individual will be responsible for programming our software products to implement new features and support current applications. Additional responsibilities include being part of a collaborative team that produces a quality product for our clients. This position offers great growth potential. Experience / Knowledge in areas of Business Intelligence, Web services, Oracle, SAP, IBM technology stacks is a plus. Job requires travel during customer deployments of the product. Responsibilities - Participate in design, development, testing, and support of applications, components, and services - Participate in prototyping of new features and functions, with focus on enabling and implementing unique client-side behaviors into the user experience - Development of real time and near real time applications - Understanding of SCADA, DMS, OMS, DRMS applications - Leverage full technical knowledge and thorough understanding of business application of projects - Assist in estimating, scheduling, and coordinating projects, from a technical perspective - Own, deliver, represent, and support components in the pre-inception, inception, elaboration, construction, transition, and post-deployment phase of an iterative product lifecycle - Participate in development of software documentation and training - Work with customers, internal partners, and other technical staff to resolve problem with software and systems, and respond with suggestions for improvements and enhancements to the solutions and services - Assist with the continuous refinement of the enabling and supporting processes Requirements - 7-10 5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE and Adobe Flex Development with at least 4 years of design experience and at least 2 – 3 years of demonstrated experience as Project Lead on medium to complex applications - Develop the Java/J2EE, Adobe Flex code (UI to Database level – MVC) coding using designated product technology architecture and frame works - Work with customers, both offsite and onsite for product deployments / customizations - Provide assistance as necessary to other developers and provide technical and functional training to the junior developers - Perform Research and Development on newest technical components and make recommendations such as report engine, UI frame work, security, open-source components and Open Standards/frame works - Work with India team from US and act as point of contact for one or more projects - Should have close to 10 5 years of experience in designing, developing and deploying WEB/J2EE applications - The candidate must have Strong Coding Skills in Java/J2EE, JSP, Spring, Adobe Flex, BlazeDS, Action Script, Javascript, Hibernate, Java Beans, EJB, XML, XSL, Webservices and PL/SQL Programming - Should have integration and deployment Skills using one of the - BEA Web logic, Apache TOMCAT, JBoss and Web Sphere - Should have capabilities to manage module or small team if required and should have experience in one or more complete life cycle modules - Should have working experience in multiple operating systems, Windows, Unix and Linux/Solaris - Should have Database design and PL/SQL coding experience on Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 and any other RDBMS - Familiarity with Version control using CVS/VSS, and bug/issue reporting and tracking tools like Bugzilla, Per Force and etc. - Understanding of software development lifecycle and exposure to AGILE and SCRUM methodologies - Strong analytical, problem solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills with proficient in MS Office Suite - Self-starter with excellent interpersonal, motivational, and facilitation skills - Databases: MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, My SQL, Security and authentication - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other technical field - Preferred background includes Utility and Process industries Thanks and Regards, Ryan Marshall | Panzer Solutions LLC 45 Stuart Ave, K Norwalk CT 06850 USA Direct:203 652 1444 ext 127| Fax: 203-286-1457 , E-mail:ryan.marsh...@panzersolutions.com Notice of Confidentiality: The information contained herein is intended only for the confidential use of the recipient.
