Job Titile:Java Developer Location: Houston TX Duration:6+months Must be local Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned and may vary by department. Develops cost-effective information technology solutions by analyzing, coding, testing, and implementing new and by modifying existing software applications that are relatively complex with full competency. Coordinates with users to determine requirements. Reviews systems under development and related documentation. Resolves customer complaints and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Participates in the development of software user manuals. May occasionally acts as team leader on less complex projects. May assist in training less-experienced software development staff. Supervisory Responsibilities Some informal supervisory duties, such as delegation of tasks, may be required. The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, MIS or similar area of study. 5 years of previous experience required. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required At least 5 years of solid experience in JAVA Programming and J2EE or JavaEE based Web application development Experience in using frameworks, tools such as JSF, iBATIS ,Hibernate, Spring, XML, EJB, JSP, JDBC, ANT, JUnit, and Log4J Web Services expertise with SOAP, REST, XML-RPC, WSDL, XML/XSLT, JAXB, JAXP Experience in developing applications with multi-tier architectures. Knowledge and Experience in Relational Database systems (Oracle, MYSQL, or SQL Server) as well as proficiency in enterprise environments Knowledge and Experience in developing software in a JavaEE based Software development environment using version control tools such as Subversion, Knowledge and experience in using Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as Netbeans, Eclipse , InteliJ Idea or Rational Rose.
