job Description:
Regional Senior DBA role to perform L4 type of activities – complex High
Availability and Disaster Recovery design and configuration, Advanced
performance tuning and troubleshooting, DB administration, Vendor
management, product readiness for production.
Provide critical Database administration function for support
business critical trading and risk applications for Investment Bank, WMA
and Global AM business.
• Remediate database systems to comply the High Risk Audit and ORI
Items with significant severity rating that has enterprise wide exposure.
• Provide capacity planning and forecast of storage, database
growth and server utilization.
• Expect to work during isolation tests, BCM testing, power downs
and infrastructure weekends when required.
• Support very large database using complex technologies such as
Clustering, mirroring and replication. Provide weekend on-call support when
necessary.
• Key role in certification and testing Database toolsets and new
technology.
• The major responsibilities includes Advanced Performance
tuning, Subject Matter Expert role, High Availability/Disaster Recovery
selection and setup, Storage and Capacity management, Security and Audit
remediation, Cost efficiency & Service improvement initiatives, Incident
Management and RCA.
