Function as a PeopleSoft HCM Senior SQR programmer/developer in support of
work on the PeopleSoft HCMS 9.1 implementation for the ConnectCarolina
project. The focus of the work will be design, development, and testing of
complex PeopleSoft Payroll and Base Benefit SQR interfaces and conversions.
The ideal candidate should have the following:



•             Have been a PeopleSoft SQR programmer on 5 or more PeopleSoft
HCMS 7.5x to 9.x life-cycle implementations/upgrades.

•             Must have been a developer using SQR on at least two 8.8/9.x
HCMS implementations developing custom Benefits/Payroll SQR interfaces
and/or conversion programs.

•             Must have used all complex SQR programming techniques
including: load lookups, arrays, function calls, dynamic sql, sql
inserts/deletes/rollbacks, multi-report processing, file read/write
processing, system commands calls, report breaking/printing.

•             Must have ability to troubleshoot setup of core PeopleSoft HR
tables, Payroll/Benefits tables, Payroll Tax tables, Benefit
Program/Plan/Deduction tables, Employee Transaction tables

•             Must have good working-knowledge of Rapid Entry, Paysheet
creation, Calculation of Payroll, Confirmation, Pay Check Creation, Direct
Deposit , Processing of Off-Cycle Payrolls, Reversals, and Garnishments.
Must have good working-knowledge of Base Benefit processing.

•             Must be experience with all aspects of
Peopletools/Application designer. Should have good working knowledge of
8.8/9.x People Code.

•             Coding: Must be able to design, develop, and customize
utilizing People code, SQR, SQL, Peopletools where appropriate.

•             Testing: Must be able to identify unit test scenarios, create
unit test documents, and perform unit /regression testing for all work
assigned.

•             Communication: Must be able to provide input to peers,
management and application owners for recommendations and alternate
solutions and/or improvements. Identify problems and solutions, and provide
updates on projects and their status to management.

•             Documentation: Must be able to prepare design and technical
documentation for all work.

•             Mentoring: Must be willing to coaching and mentor other team
members.

•             Planning/Process Management: Must be able to prepare time
estimates for all phases of technical projects. Recommend improvements in
technical processes.



*The candidate must have* 1) 7 plus years hands-on SQR programming
experience in a PeopleSoft 8.8/9.x HCMS environment developing complex
highly customized Base Benefits and Payroll interfaces/conversions, 2) 7 or
more years PeopleSoft Peopletools 8.47 to 8.5x experience, 3) have worked
in Peopletools 8.5x in at least 1 upgrade or implementation lasting more
than 5 months in duration, 4) 7 plus years’ experience using SQL to support
PeopleSoft programming tasks and be adept at writing/understanding complex
SQL statements using SQR and SQL plus, and 5) have the ability to navigate
to, troubleshoot, and setup Base Benefit and Payroll tables necessary to
unit test/debug any SQR programs they develop and are assigned to work.
