Requires: Matlab model and C software development experience, Real-time embedded control experience, Hands-on simulator validation and high powered equipment validation experience. Working knowledge of high HP electric motors and IGBT based inverters. Requirements analysis, control/software logic design and documentation, implementation (C code and/or Matlab Simulink block diagramming with auto-code generation), and verification and validation test planning and execution. Application is for real time embedded power electronics (IGBT, SCR circuits), inverter and motor control and diagnostics on locomotives and mining equipment. Verification testing uses real-time hardware in the loop simulators.
