Title: Quality Assurance Software Test Engineer Duration: 1 yr Location: San Diego,CA Rate:$25/hr on C2C Job Responsibilities: * A Quality Assurance Software Test Engineer is responsible for the coordination of testing efforts within the Quality Assurance Department. The QA Software Test Engineer communicates any system changes and inconsistencies found to the Software Engineering team and reports compliance issues to the Compliance Officer. * This individual is part of the Implementation QA team comprised of over nine resources. o Develops test plans, executes plans, and documents results. o Performs Web service testing and back-end Data Center testing. o Assists in the configuration of test platforms. o Applies automation to test procedures when possible. o Works with medical coders to validate coding output. o Queries a SQL Server database for test output, when needed. o Assists in User Interface testing. o Uses defect tracking tools for defect management. MUST have a Minimum 2 years of software test experience to include unit, integration, and system level testing in: Windows server/database applications and desktop applications Web applications o Demonstrated understanding of Web services. o Demonstrated knowledge of writing SQL queries. o Familiarity with test automation tools and their usage. o Strong understanding of relational database schemas, SQL query language, and stored procedures is recommended. o Must be capable of understanding software requirements and design in order to plan and schedule test activities; create test cases; and generate test plans, procedures, and reports. o Must be capable of directing and/or participating in simultaneous test efforts for multiple projects. skills/attributes are nice to have o A demonstrated ability to function within a team and to handle a variety of tasks. o Logical thinker and quick learner with strong problem solving and analytical ability. o Customer service oriented with a strong commitment to produce high quality, workable solutions for both internal external customers. o Strong oral and written communication skills.
