The University of Minnesota has an immediate need for TWO Service Now Developers. We would like the work to begin in early September and expect the engagement would last through the end of February 2014. The position is for 40 hours per week and is located on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus. *Job – Background* The University of Minnesota's Office of Information Technology (OIT) seeks a Service Now developer to be responsible for supporting, configuring, and developing within the enterprise Service Now ITSM solution. The Service Now developer will work within a matrix-managed organization as part of the User Support Services. The developer will have the responsibility for supporting the existing ITSM product modules and working with the service owners, process Owners, business analysts and developers to resolve issues/defects. The developer will also implement enhancements, working with the Service Owner as part of the development team. *Job duties* Develop and maintain code in a team environment. Identify opportunities for help/training and deliver online content utilizing existing toolsets. Be responsible for great customer service and adhere to the SLA. Serve as a knowledge resource for best practice use of the solution. Adhere to and contribute to development and integration standards, best practices, and related deliverables. *Job – Qualifications Required* Experience in implementing Service-Now processes and functions Experience using SQL in a MySQL or Oracle environment 4+ years of JavaScript experience; HTML experience 4+ years Service-Now development in an enterprise environment Experience with IT Service Management, Service Desk, Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Catalog Request, Knowledge Management. Ability to balance multiple tasks/initiatives and meet agreed upon deadlines. Experience working in a team development environment Work On site *Job – Qualifications Optional* Service-Now Administrator Training Content Management Experience. Experience with implementing Service Now high security best practices. Experience with ITIL processes.
