Job Title: Storage Engineer Location: Chicago,IL Duration: 12+ Months Contract Job Description: We are looking for a senior-level Hitachi Storage Engineer to configure storage systems, set up replication lines and monitor frame health. A qualified candidate will have multiple years of Hitachi Frame Level experience, work with Cisco technologies and experience working in a multi-datacenter. Experience with storage systems with the following: HP EVA, HP XP, Hitachi USP, Hitachi VSP. Storage Area Network Design and Operations; storage system configuration, provisioning, operation and maintenance. Unix, Linux and/or Windows server operations; and ITIL Foundations. Required Skills: Bachelor's Degree 8 + years of SAN experience 5+ years working with Hitachi storage systems Experience designing, administering and supporting multiple storage systems and databases on multiple hardware platforms Hands-on experience leading major storage systems implementations and upgrades for a multi-datacenter configuration Enterprise Frame Level experience and hands-on experience with Cisco 95xx fabric hardware Hitachi Storage Certification (preferred) HP and EVA expertise HP and HDS knowledge Independent Thinker/Leader.
