Job Title : AIX System Administrator Work Place : Norwalk, CT Rate : Market Duration : 12 Months Exp Required : 8+Yrs. Skills Required : 1.AIX System Administrator responsible for executing daily service delivery of planning, organizing, evaluating, troubleshooting, installing and tuning of multiple large AIX systems in a centralized data center environment. 2.Strong emphasis and demonstration of administration skills will be evaluated in the following areas: Administration skills with large IBM/AIX p5 and p6 Pseries systems including p595, p570 and p550 systems; 3.LPAR configuration administration and experience; 4.HACMP, VCS, VIO, Virtualization, Micro-Partitioning, administration and experience 5.SAN experience in a multi-fabric, multi-path fiber channel environment of Cisco 9509 MDS switches; 6.Experience with large IBM ESS8xx, DS81xx, DS83xx, EMC Clarion and CX380 units utilizing a multi-tiered storage design; 7.Disaster recovery experience including data replication technologies 8.Tivoli Storage Management (TSM) tape backup experience and processes utilizing multiple IBM/LTO libraries; 9.Patching and scripting skills 10.Strong knowledge of OS fundaments for AIX 11.Practical experience in IBM Network Installation Manager (NIM), Logical Volume Manager (LVM), NFS, performance monitoring utilities and other core UNIX commands 12.Experience in SCSI, SSA, LTO and DLT tape drive and automated tape library technologies 13.Solid understanding of disk system concepts (RAID design, LUN creation, data replication) is needed 14.Experience writing scripts and procedures for day-to-day operations 15.Preferred working experience in middleware support like IBM Websphere.
