Job Title:  PeopleSoft HR Business Analyst
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 3 months
Direct Client Position

Duties and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate should have ample expertise in the PeopleSoft North
American Payroll and Core HCM modules.  The consultant will conduct a
business process re-engineering analysis of specific components of the NA
Payroll application particularly in the areas of:
Paycheck reversal process
Paycheck adjustment process
Paycheck re-issue process
Off-cycle payroll processing
The selected candidate will be responsible for documenting the requirements
and the current state end-to-end business processes in the above targeted
areas and other payroll areas as assigned.
The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for the
following duties and responsibilities:
Conduct business analysis and business process reviews
Document findings in business process documentation including ‘current
state’ and ‘future state’ process flow diagrams
Recommend business process re-engineering changes to remove customizations,
utilize delivered functionality
Capture business requirements/enhancements and setup detailed

functional design documents:
Work with technical team including developers to deliver the requirements
(coding or reporting requirements)
Work with business users to gather information, obtain approval and
coordinate the implementation of the changes
Basic troubleshooting of issues
Knowledge transfer to internal staff

Minimum Requirements and Experience:
PeopleSoft NA Payroll 9.1 including reversal adjustment processing,
paycheck re-issuance processing and off cycle payroll processing
Minimum 5 years of PeopleSoft Payroll functional experience in Public
Sector environment
Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis documenting requirements
and performing fit gap analysis
Two years’ experience in PeopleSoft 9.0 or higher versions
Solid understanding of the entire Payroll processes, underlying
configuration tables, transaction tables, year-end processes and reporting.
Good understanding of the integration of PeopleSoft  Payroll Reversal
Adjustment process, check re-issue process and off-cycle payroll processing
Must be analytic with strong communication abilities.
Must be able to examine current business processes and solution
configurations, identify inefficiencies, recommend optimized configurations
and processes, and present the business case to OSC management.
Understanding of technical components like PS Query, SQR, PeopleCode, and
Application Engine
Good understanding of SQLs
Good understanding of PeopleSoft Payroll Process, Setup
Understanding the existing business process and required to know how
payrolls are executed and typical payroll integrations
Understanding of configuration and customizations, gap analysis, business
process documentation and proof of concepts of various requirements
Understanding of Core HR, NA Payroll
Understanding of Benefits components within Payroll (i.e. Benefit
deductions)
Clear and effective communication skills
Strong analytical skills
