Title: Field Service Manager (IVSC)
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Duration: Fulltime / Permanent

Job Summary:
The Field Services Manager / Director will report directly to the SVP
Delivery & Support and will be focused on the installation of IVSC’s
technology products into vehicles in remote locations both nationwide as
well as globally.  The qualified candidate for this position will be
capable of quickly building up a team of individuals responsible for
delivering field services and direct customer support for mobile technology
devices in various types of vehicles. They will also be responsible for
managing device supplies and for forming, managing and maintaining suitable
contractor relationships needed to assist with the delivery of field
services and support for IVSC.
Responsibilities
The specific duties of the qualified Field Services Manager / Director
include the following:
• Development of Field Services Delivery Methodologies and Tools including
but not limited to:
o In-vehicle device installation processes, including the development and
documentation of these processes, ensuring that they are portable and
reusable.
o Tools and resources that can be used by both internal and contractor
installation teams to ensure appropriate and consistent installation
methods and practices
o Systems to track installation efforts including coordination with the
development team to ensure that installation systems work synergistically
with the platform software
• Lead and manage the process of mobile electronics device installation and
support in a field environment, including:
o Coordination and scheduling of installations and support service calls
leveraging both internal as well as contractor resources
o Management of the resources required to perform these services including
planning for peaks and lulls in demand by leveraging temporary or contract
resources
o Supervision of field installation work to include
• Management of device supply and supply chain, including:
o Maintaining relationships with manufacturers and vendors and negotiating
to secure the best possible production unit price for IVSC
o Working with customs and freight forwarders to ensure no delays or issues
with delivery or customs
o Ensuring that stocks on hand are properly secured and tracked
o Overseeing stocks of devices to ensure that devices are available when
needed and that stocks are increased ahead of major installations to ensure
no delay in the installation schedule
• Establish, manage and maintain relationships with installation
contractors including:
o Identifying contractor resources and evaluating their ability to perform
the required work
o Negotiating work rates for installation projects
o Coordinating with contractors to ensure appropriate staffing levels on
installation projects and to ensure installation staff availability for
both large and small installation projects
o Experienced enough with mobile electronics installation to be able to
evaluate and rate contractor teams on an ongoing basis
• Work with the Director, Training & Education, to establish, manage and
deliver field training and certification programs for installers:
o Provide input and expertise on installation practices to direct the
development of training materials, curricula and certification programs
o Act as an expert field trainer for both internal team members, contractor
resources and fleet maintenance personnel
o Provide ongoing oversight and control over the Certified Installer Program
Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technology field services
organization or a company specializing in vehicle mobile technology
installation services
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school or university or appropriate
and acceptable alternate certifications and training related to the area of
mobile electronics installation, management and maintenance services
• Proven ability to supervise shop personnel or installation professionals
in a shop and field environment
• Experience managing critical equipment and supplies as well as developing
and maintaining supplier relationships
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office products for documentation, project
tracking, proposals, etc.
• Self-starter, able to work and thrive in a high-energy environment with
little to no regular direct supervision
• Experience in the transportation and logistics industries a plus
