As part of its work, device performance team analyzes the performance of devices against device features and applications to ensure efficient use of network resources and improved customer experience. *This position is responsible for developing automated scripts using Java for Android and other OS platforms* The Device Performance Team is chartered with supporting various testing activities from device performance to Application performance using java based automation scripts. As part of its work, device performance team analyzes the performance of devices against device features and applications to ensure efficient use of network resources and improved customer experience. This position is responsible for developing automated scripts using Java for Android and other OS platforms 1) Verify device performance of smartphone application performance, ability to create and execute test plans in timely fashion using automation tools . (2) Must have strong hands on programming skills in Java Hands on experience with C/C++, Unix, Java, configuration management (Clearcase/SVN) and scripting languages such as pearl, python etc. (3) Proficient in writing VB/excel script/automation scripts, develop/troubleshoot Android applications tools (4) Must have strong experience in using eclipse IDE, collect Adb logs etc.)and background in android development. (4) Analyze post launch device and major application data performance. (5) Familiarity in executing battery drain measurements. (6) Experience in Mobile industry developing applications/device features. *KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES* • 4 to 6 years of experience in mobile telecommunications. • Must have Android/iOS smartphones/tablets experience • Must have Java development coding experience, eclipse IDE, C/C++ and other scripting languages like VB, Python, Perl etc. • Strong understanding of 3G/LTE. • Must have ability to collect logs on smartphones/tablets/dongles on various OS-Android, IOS and also analyze logs • At least 4 years’ experience in testing mobile phones and/or network infrastructure equipment. • At least 2 years’ experience related application testing on mobile smartphones and mobile device testing. • Strong Knowledge in basic programming-Writing Macros, Automation scripts in VB etc.. • Strong Knowledge in Word, Power Point and other MS office Tools.
