BI Cognos Tester
Wooster, Ohio
6+ Months
Ability to write and run SQL queries
Working knowledge of Cognos tools (Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Query
Studio) including demonstrable experience in using the same to fulfill
business requirements
Working knowledge of data warehouse and data mart concepts and structures
Execute test cases to evaluate system quality compared to defined business
requirements
Document results of testing in the testing management tool
Modify existing and create test cases as required based on requirements
Identify and report defects for applications supported using proper
procedures and tools
Manage defect resolution process as needed
Review requirements to evaluate accuracy and testability
Actively participate in design review sessions
Demonstrate creative thinking and identify ways to test beyond the obvious
– a willingness to question the process and the requirements
Demonstrate critical thinking and analytical skills through testing
activities
