JUST SOME GOOD FINANCIAL INDUSTRY BACKGROUND IS GOOD***** Description: Role seeking a strong C#.NET developer, with minimum 8 years' experience, to take on a hands-on and leadership role in the development and support of various trading and reporting applications. Initial responsibilities include integrating our Bloomberg TOMS trading system with internally built .NET and Oracle applications As part of a small development team in a growing company, this is a high-profile and varied role, requiring a mix of business analysis, design, implementation, and incremental delivery to business users. Interaction with non-technical staff and cross-functional teams is critical to ensure that new systems continue to meet the user’s needs and contribute to the continued growth and profitability of Jefferies. The individual must be proactive and a self starter. Key Responsibilities Job Description: Develop and support vendor supplied and internally built C#.NET applications Develop and implement solutions for integrating Bloomberg TOMS with internally built .NET applications Support and enhance the products on ongoing basis Build tools to automated different management aspects of the system Develop new features, based on client or internal requests. Review and implement solutions in a timely manner using best practice processes and software development methodologies Qualifications The following skills and experience are required for this role: Excellent design and development experience with C#, as well as in-depth knowledge of .NET Framework Very strong relational database skills, specifically programming in Oracle PL/SQL. Understanding of front office system trade flow and back office trade processing Highly organized and detailed-oriented Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently with minimal supervision Experience using Winforms and Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) or lower level inter-process communication mechanisms Eight years of experience with full‐lifecycle software development including specification writing Strong understanding of OOP concepts Experience working with structured development processes and methodologies Extensive experience with client and server‐side development Regards: Sam Williams - Recruiting Manager ITBrainiac Inc.
