*Job Title:* *SR Java Developer* *Duration 10+ months* *Location: Valhalla, NY * Java, Webservice & Messaging Developer Partners with Pre-commercialization team lead and manager to capture and translate business requirements into functional specifications and detailed construction plan *Leads the design and developmental aspects of project plans, proactively identifying, logging, communicating and addressing issues & risks *Completes construction deliverables and documents the project solution, within time and budget constraints *Documents end-to-end descriptions of all activities being transformed *Creates data in development and QA environments as required to complete configuration unit testing and integration testing *Conducts integration testing,documents and resolves issues independently *Documents detailed business process procedures (BPPs) *Controls code base and release management *Provides input and support to training and onboarding development process *Supports solution design as needed to ensure alignment with strategic goals of business partners *Provides input to program/project managers in defining project plans and estimates, and identifying issues and risks *Partners with the Innovation, Pre-Commercialization & Support Managers within BIS and external vendors and PepsiCo partners in application relationship management as needed to support solution delivery and issue resolution between client and server *Provides input for formal Charter, Kickoff and Requirement review with Project Leadership *Partner with QA Lead to enable Master Test Strategy and Plan to be executed *Provides input for formal stage gate reviews with vendors *Ability to provide agile mode of thinking and being flexible in taking action across research and analysis, design , development, testing and deployment *Ability to be vocal and use experience to provide positive insight and feedback to partners and internal team mates Year BS Degree; 5-8 years' experience required Key Competencies Required: *In depth experience and knowledge of Application technologies, Middleware Services, and Database is required. *Demonstrated experience serving as a technology leader with emphasis on Application Development, Reporting, Embedded Systems and Mobility *Data Access Layer and Spring Framework experience necessary *J2EE and JSEE *Webservices : SOAP, RESTful - XMLRPC *Messaging : JMS *User Interface Requirements : JSP, Struts, JQuery, Ajax, Swing, Applet, Servlet *Weblogic Development & Deployment *Maven Code Build *Source Control & Version Tool Experience *Functional Solution Design *Process Design and Architecture *Root Cause Analysis & Troubleshooting *Unit Testing and Quality Assurance *Thanks & Regards,* *Matt Blair / Global Resource Management, Inc.
