*Need :Sr. Data AnalystLocation :McLean, VADuration :12 months* *Data Analyst Mid to Senior Level* *10+ years of data analysis, modeling experience*. This position is a combination of business and technical skills. This Analyst, in coordination and with direction from an oversight project manager, will be responsible for the deliverables and the quality of the deliverables associated work stream 4. The business analyst documents and establishes, as necessary, data requirements, data glossary and definitions for the consolidated model. The scope of the project includes business process redesign and systems (*Front End Applications)/database redesign. Develop* data models, data glossary and prototype system and reporting requirements. Responsible for developing and implementing new *DB logical model for the Counterparty systems*. Responsibilities include Developing prototypes perform hands on analysis to identify and document data relationships, data glossary for the new Counterparty SOR. Facilitate discussions with business stake holders (Directors and above) and get their buy-in for the business rules, data definitions. Influence decisions. Act as liaison between IT and business area to discuss data model changes Problem Solving Skills to analyze and identify root causes (code, business rules, data definition, reports) Manage the *E to E build of the new functionality* including developing test scripts and test cases to test the data relationships and business rules. Run the data workshops to discuss gather requirements identify current issues and facilitate issue resolution with technical teams (*business SMEs, tech teams).* Respond to Adhoc requests from internal and external stake holders. Business and Technical Skills Mortgage Industry experience or financial / counterparty risk management and analysis experience is preferred. Must have strong understanding of *Transactional DB design, Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence data modeling concepts , Extract Transformation and Load (ETL) jobs design concepts*. Must have strong *SAS, SQL programming skills, SSIS or similar ETL tool experience. *Familiarity with Microstrategy or similar BI tool is preferred Must have * Data Model tool experience such as Embarcadero or similar tool for DDL creation and deployment Must have MS office, Visio experience* Must have data modeling and analysis in *RDBMS.
