Advanced degree preferred. If no degree, 7 years of data management experience and analyzing large data sets in a business environment. Experience in the *health care industry*. Experience with *analytical groupers* (i.e. *Diagnostic Cost Groupers*, *Episodic Treatment Groups*). Prior *project management* experience. Evidence of independent research, and analytical, problem solving skills. Advanced programming in *SAS* (*Base* and *Stat*) / *SQL Query Construction*) or other programming language. Documentation of programs and processes (suitable for internal and external communication). *Soft Skills/Abilities* Advanced understanding of *relational database systems* and uses. Advanced knowledge of operations systems (*PowerMHS*, *ServiceFirst*, *Seibel*, etc.) Advanced skill with *Crystal Reports*, *Business Objects* Knowledge of tactical and strategic strategies Demonstrated strong business acumen Knowledge of coding structures and payment methodologies Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills and working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications (Word, Access, PowerPoint) Strong time management and organizational skills Ability to serve department and division as a *statistical subject matter expert* Knowledge of *Episode Treatment Grouping* products.
