Understanding of data structures and the ability to query data tables using SQL and PL/SQL - Work on product development through all phases of software development including design,implementation, and deployment. - Develop Java software modules using Java/J2EE and Database related technologies. Technical design and development of new enhancements. - Work closely with team leads to translate requirements into high-quality, timely deliverables. - Contribute as a strong hands-on technical member in project development activities. - Produce clean and unit-tested code. - Ability to study new technologies and bring fresh ideas that can benefit the project. - Perform code reviews within the team. - Mentor junior engineers and guide them with their assignments. *Job Level Specific Duties* * Works on a large portfolio of applications. * Provides application design and documentation that spans multiple applications and/or functions. * Participates, and may lead, on complex projects with significant impact on IT and / or business. * Mentors less experienced team members. * Prioritizes own work regarding the development, coding, testing, and debugging of new software or enhancements to existing software. * Works with technical staff and business to understand problems with software and assist to resolve them.
