Minimum 5+ years of professional Database Administration experience in an operational environment particularly with Microsoft SQL Server. Minimum 5 years extensive experience in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server programming. Knowledge/Experience with Windows PowerShell Be able to provide all levels of database support including a sound understanding of BI Best Practices/Methodologies, relational structures, dimensional data modeling, structured query language (SQL) skills, data warehouse and reporting techniques. Able to discuss (within own area of expertise) requirements with customers, and to challenge and clarify when appropriate. From the requirements, able to develop a high level design or plan, and then estimate the amount of effort required to deliver on time and budget. Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management and business intelligence. Ability to work with a team to provide written responses to technical proposals and /or reports/documentation for delivery. (Good written communication skills) Excellent professionalism, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to communicate proactively to management any potential issues that may hinder the ability to meet project deadlines SQL Server 2008 DBA certification is highly desirable. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer. Required Skills: Recent experience in MS SQL Server versions 2008/2012. Expertise with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS. Extensive knowledge with T-SQL. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems; Expertise in relational and multidimensional database schemas, designing and building OLAP (online analytical processing) cubes, applying data mining algorithms, writing queries and designing reports. Responsibilities range from installing SQL Server Products, managing server operations, monitoring performance, and monitoring ETL jobs. Experience using SSIS to implement complex normalization and transformation logic to load data into a data warehouse from disparate data sources.
