We have a Direct Client Requirement for you and the details are as follows Job Title: *JAVASCRIPT ENGINEER * Location: NY, NJ, CT Duration: long Time *Job Description:* We are looking for talented front-end software engineers to become core contributors to our growing team, which is made up of developers with a wide skill set. The role offers exposure to the entire product suite and provides a great opportunity for ownership. The candidate will drive the Web UI implementation, while working closely with the Back-End team with significant domain overlap. We seek creative and clear thinkers with an aptitude for thorough and flexible architecture, who can take a product from inception to release. The ideal engineer will be passionate about solving some of the industry’s most complicated problems, providing efficient real-time analytics and working with various large datasets. This is an exciting opening for someone who enjoys working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment. *Responsibilities * · Function within a team (Developers, Business Analysts, and Architects) to take a project to completion · Become an expert in JavaScript, SVG, and various open source libraries we use · Take ownership of various initiatives for clients and internal analysts to design and provide solutions · Drive architecture decisions allowing the application to be scalable on the dimensions of data and users · Establish best of breed development practices, allowing us to grow the team · Ensure product quality by doing comprehensive UI testing with automation · Source ideas from the open source community to help keep the product suite current · Learn about the finance industry and generate ideas for the platform to grow *Skills & Experience * The ideal candidate would possess the following: · Minimum 2 years of industry experience working with a complex web tier in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SVG · Building high-traffic, scalable, and high performance systems · Architecture, problem solving, testing, and agile development · Appreciation for intuitive design · Work with the open source community, developing OS Software is a plus · Core Java or Scala in an Enterprise Systems is a plus · A strong desire to learn about Hedge Funds, and the Financial Industry *Current Technologies * The ideal candidate would have some experience or familiarity with the following front-end technologies: · Strong JavaScript background · Experience in AngularJS (or another MV* framework, like Ember or Backbone) · Build tooling: Grunt, Bower, NPM · Testing: mocha, karma, chai.js · Coffescript a plus · Jade (HTML shorthand) a plus · Stylus (CSS shorthand) a plus · Data visualization: d3.js, SVG a plus *Thanks & Best Regards* Bharath*,* *Oberon IT Inc,* 1404 W.
