manager and technical team leaders.



*Job Description: *

The role of the Java Developer is to assist the Configuration team with
implementing enhancements, fixing bugs and making operational changes to the
existing client production Configuration Functional Companions.  The
position will require at least three years experience of Oracle
Configuration Developer and Functional Companions.  In addition, experience
with Oracle’s AIM methodology is an advantage.  Must possess excellent
interpersonal and communication skills.  The candidate should have a strong
technical and functional background.  Experience with Java, Functional
Companions, JSP and PL/ SQL, XML are also required.  Familiarity with the
Oracle Configuration MACD model and Install Base are also a major
plus.  Candidates
should be highly motivated problem solvers willing to deliver quality work
under pressure in a fast paced environment.



*RESPONSIBILITIES:*

   - Work with the Configuration and Inventory team developing Java and SQL
   Procedures to be used in conjunction with Oracle Configuration.
   - Write functional companions for Oracle Configuration R12.
   - Modify JSP pages and write JavaScript.
   - Write SQL Procedures that will be used to query the CZ and INV and BOM
   schemas that will be used by the configuration and inventory teams.
   - Responsible for user interface design for functional companions.
   - Gather requirements from users for functional companions and SQL
   procedures.
   - Write design documents for SQL procedures and functional companions.
   - Test functional companions and SQL procedures as part of configuration
   development enhancements.
   - Provide production support for functional companions and SQL
   procedures.







   - Interact with the end users to translate business requirements into
   technical specifications.
   - Perform requirements analysis, develop functional design specifications
   utilizing Oracle AIM methodologies and supporting Mercury tools.
   - Assist in the review and prioritization process of change requests and
   new development projects specific to the Oracle Applications.
   - Unit test code changes, prepare test plans and adhere to established
   coding standard.
   - Other Projects as assigned.
   - Resolve SRs (Service Requests) related to Configuration, Inventory, and
   Bills of Material issues with Oracle Support.
   - Update HP Quality Center or other release tools as part of the release
   management process.
   - Support Release Coordinator as needed with Production Support requests.
   - Participate in team meetings.
   - Document ways to improve existing team processes.
   - Provide regular progress reports to team management.



*SKILLS:*

   - Minimum three years developing *Java, JSP and JavaScript code as well
   as SQL* Procedures.
   - Minimum three years of professional experience performing business
   analysis and end-user support with *Oracle R12 applications.***
   - Knowledge of Oracle CZ, INV, BOM and ONT schemas a plus.
   - Knowledge of Oracle CIO methods and classes required.
   - Knowledge of XML required.
   - Knowledge of HP Quality Center or equivalent tools a plus.
   - Technical background and/or knowledge (SQL, PL/SQL, JAVA, Workflow) a
   plus.
   - Minimum four years experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms 6i, and
   Discoverer.
   -  Familiarity with Oracle Sales Online, Quoting, Installed Base, OM,
   etc. a plus
   - Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
   - Knowledge of Oracle’s AIM methodology, experience writing BR030s,
   MD050s, MD070s and MD120s
   - Knowledge of the software development life cycle

   - *Bachelors Degree in a business or computer related field, or
