*PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES*
• Gather and documents high level requirements from business units.
• Perform development tasks as assigned.
• Perform thorough code review, unit and regression testing for
development tasks.
• Investigate and resolve application issues.
• Provide manager and/or Technical Lead with results of tasks and
description of any problems or issues.
*KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS*
*Essential*
• Understanding of Java/J2EE programming best practices
• Experience with SOAP and Web Services
• Experience w/ Java Application Servers (Preferably Apache and
WebLogic)
*Useful*
• Struts 2.x or similar Java web frameworks (i.e. WebWorks, Struts
1.1, Seam)
• Hibernate or similar Java ORM technologies
• Telecommunications network and technology understanding
• Other programming languages
• Understanding of project management process
• Scripting Languages such as Perl, SQL, Shell
• Good working knowledge of Unix/Oracle
*EXPERIENCE*
• Minimum 5-7 years experience designing, developing, installing web
applications.
• Experience with software development life cycle, testing, and
working in a distributed development environment.
• Experience in Oracle Database and SQL.
• Experience with Eclipse and WebLogic Workshop
• Very strong Java/J2EE skills with emphasis on web development.
• Experience in developing J2EE UI applications a plus especially in
the following areas:
• HTML, JSP, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and DWR
