*Position:* Java Developer *Location:* Des Moines, IA *Duration:* 18 months I have some hot requirements ( 5 Positions )from a manager who has just hired 2 consultants from us. She has never employed more than one candidate at a time from a vendor and is very impressed with Modis. She let us know she would have more positions coming out & she specifically told us that she would like us to fill them. Primary Skills the manager keys on: The candidate MUST have minimum 8+ years experience. Should have *very good communication skills* with the expertise in the following areas: 1. Core Java 2. J2EE 3. Spring, Spring MVC 4. Struts 5. Hibernate 6. Oracle, SQL, PL-SQL. Experience in designing & developing new, large web applications. Experience designing screens for web applications. Experience developing use cases for new applications & significant enhancements to existing applications. Experience designing (at a conceptual / high-level) services to exchange data between applications. Experience working directly with business users to understand requirements & ensure they are captured in the use cases. Experience writing technical design documents for new application (lead developers will partner in the completion of the design). Experience in determining hardware requirements for new applications & working with multiple teams responsible for hardware procurement in obtaining the necessary hardware. Experience in developing master test plans & stress test plans. Experience managing all phases of application development, including coordinating with other teams whose efforts are critical to the overall success of the project. Experience in identifying & mitigating risks related to application development. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with multiple groups within technology and the business to achieve an overall goal on time & within budget. Ability to identify issues, raise them with appropriate parties, & track until resolved. Demonstrated on-time, on-budget, to-requirements delivery of new, large applications. Experience achieving results with a geographically dispersed team. Outstanding written & oral communication skills. · 8+ years of hands-on java web application development experience · Must have excellent communication skills · 6+ years of extensive Spring experience, including knowledge of most · 6+ features of this framework years of extensive Hibernate experience, · 6+ including knowledge of most features of this framework · 8+ years of JSP and tag library experience, including knowledge of most · 8+ features of this framework years of modern javascript frameworks · 8+ years of CSS and HTML · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. · Experience working directly with end users to understand requirements. · Work collaboratively with other technology teams to reach common goal.
