*Job Description:*

This engagement centers on documenting business and system requirements for
new Reconciliation Services and is part of the Core Investment Systems
Re-architecture (CISR) initiative.  You will be expected to interface with
investment accounting professionals (non-ITG) at all levels and with
application teams (IT) to understand both the current and future systems as
they relate to the reconciliation function across applications.  You will be
responsible for documenting the need as functional and non-functional
requirements and for guiding and reviewing test case development.



*Knowledge and Skills Required: *

• Advanced knowledge of systems analysis and functional design.

• Excellent communicator and listener who is able to translate customer
requirements to existing or future application functionality.
• Excellent business and technical writing skills; possesses a working
knowledge of the software development lifecycle and best practices.
• Ability to derive meaningful requirements from a variety of sources and
translate them into well written documentation which is used by both the
business and technical teams.

• Able to work independently as well as in a team setting and thrive in a
fast-paced, agile environment.
• Thorough knowledge of the securities/mutual fund industry (terminology,
procedures, accounting and regulations) with advanced knowledge in specific
areas.

• Knowledge of accounting principles (reconciliation, transactions)
especially those related to investment accounting.

• Thorough knowledge of software development and implementation.
• Thorough knowledge of structured programming techniques.
• Thorough knowledge of data modeling and database design.
• Thorough knowledge of user interface principles and windows design
standards.
• Thorough knowledge of documentation techniques for requirements, testing,
and user support activities.

• Thorough knowledge of transitioning from project to product support.

• General knowledge of training.
• General knowledge of project planning and estimation.
• General knowledge of project management.
• General knowledge of application architectures.

• General knowledge of SQL.

• Ability to interview technical users/developers.

• Data/process modeling experience, preferably UML.

• Ability to work with users to determine reporting needs.

• Experience with Buy vs Build analysis.

• RFI, RFQ, or RFP experience.
• Acquires and effectively demonstrates any additional knowledge and skill
requirements as requested.

• Lead business analysis and modeling activities by interviewing process
owners, users and other stakeholders to identify business processes,
workflow, business rules and information concepts.
• Coordinates project activities and leads some including demos, test team
meetings, feedback sessions, focus groups, and orientations.
• Evaluates the current process and workflow for various business functions;
documents findings and recommends improvements.
• Resolves issues between stated business requirements and what is
technically feasible by identifying issues, evaluating alternative systems
solutions with system designers and users and communicating the end result.

• Translates business and technical requirements between the users and
developers.
• Ensures a quality end product by conducting thorough system testing.
• Conducts product software analysis to determine if we should purchase or
develop internally.
• Performs cost benefit analysis and assists in developing business cases
for projects.
• Provides leadership in determining scope and participates in recommending
priorities for system changes
• Leads on-going evaluation of system functions and identifies areas for
improvement.
• Prepares and distributes status reports and other updates to users and
management.
• Communicates actively with users on system status, including system
changes, problems, enhancements, and potential impacts.
• Coordinates some user meetings:
   - Schedules meetings
   - Assists team members in preparing for meetings

   - Leads discussions and resolution of issues.
   - Summarizes and communicates outcomes to users and managers. • Performs
other work as required or requested as well as additional assignments.
