Position: SAS PROGRAMMER W/MAINFRAME EXPERIENCE Location: WILMINGTON, DE Duration: 6 Months Plus Rate: Open Job Description: *Bachelor's degree in IT/MIS with a minimum of 5 years progressive experience in Information Technology. *Must have at least 5 years of in-depth experience with SAS programming. *Must have a good, functional understanding of the Mainframe Environment and the ability to work within it with minimal learning curve; inclusive but not limited to JCL, TSO and FTP technologies. Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organization's application systems. Helps to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. May be expected to write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Writes manual for users to describe installation and operating procedures. May require a Bachelors degree in a related area and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with relational databases and client-server concepts. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. SAS Programmer needed to work with the Actuarial Group. Position should be at least 1 year, but can only get approval until the end of the year.
