Position: Ab Initio Architect/team Lead Location: Warren, NJ Duration: 6 months Plus Rate: Open+exp Job Description: Overview: The technical domain of the ETL Architect includes conceptual, logical and physical data modeling, ETL standards, best practices, tools and technologies, security in the ETL environment, ETL architecture, design, development, capacity planning, performance tuning, and administration. Requirements: 1. Minimum 7-10+ yrs analysis, design, development and testing of the most complex of Ab Initio software components including: a. Establish and/or continuously improve upon development guidelines, standards and procedures (e.g. data model reviews, code reviews, etc.) b. Provide support for code promotion, deployment, and troubleshooting c. Seek ways to continuously improve upon the overall team efficiency and effectiveness d. Provide technical leadership to the development team e. Lead estimation activity for development efforts f. Manage the work assignment of resources, track and resolve issues and report status 2. Hands-on leader viewed as the trusted advisor to lead analysis of the ETL environment, assess current state, identify future state, and recommend prioritization from a ETL architecture perspective. a. In-depth understanding of the GDE, core component sets (i.e. Dataset, Database, Transform, Look-up, De-partition & Partition), file management utilities and usage of environment variables. b. Experience with advanced Ab Initio capabilities; conduct it, BRE , continuous flows, MUT, Pset, Vectors etc. 3. Coach staff to contribute to and work on the complex work streams where practical. 4. The individual will need to work with limited direction and be able to handle all aspects of the work - technical, user interaction, management, report preparation and presentation. 5. Must have previous exp working with stakeholders and end users to gain insight and understanding of the use of the dashboard and drill down capabilities. 6. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization. 7. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator 8. Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project.
