Job Title: Solution Architect Locations: Bloomington, IL and Raritan , NJ Project Duration: 3 to 6months but may be extended as per opportunity. Should have worked as a solution Architect in P&C product/application environment. Should have atleast 5 years experience in Property and Casualty Insurance domain in the North American market Should have experience in UML based analysis and design using tools e.g. Rational Rose & Together J Gain comprehensive understanding of customer business requirements and processes Develop good understanding of the customer's business model Extract implicit/unstated requirements; identify potential changing customer needs Articulate value proposition and present rationale for solution, supporting architecture and application design choice to customer Lead a team of software specialists / engineers for the creation / implementation of solution architecture for a product/application Lead the design of the system sub-components/modules making appropriate trade-offs and maintaining consistency across the system Understand and use frameworks to design and review solutions for functional and non-functional requirements Evaluate design alternatives for speed of development and value to customer Negotiate and manage conflicting demands without damaging relationships Identify cost estimations including risk assessment and non-standard work components Review key development components for conformance to architecture and design Perform Risk assessment and mitigation-Technology and solution Define comprehensive scope of functional testing along with test lead/manager Ensure that development and testing teams have understood the architecture and design and rationale for the key design decisions.
