SQL Database Developer / 1+ Year Contract / Sacramento, CA
*Currently recruiting for a 1+ year contract position for a SQL Database Developer. Candidate MUST be available for in-person interview, no telephone or skype will be honored. Candidate also must be eligible to work full-time at the end of the current project, so preference will be given to Green Card candidates. Description is provided below. Rate range**: $55/hour all inclusive. * *Description* REQUIRED SKILLS: Expert level SQL programming using Microsoft transact-SQL. Must have experience developing stored procedures and triggers. Must be able to design optimal code given indexing strategy and/or analyze and recommend altering indexing strategy to support additional code elements. Proficient with SQL Server Reporting Systems: able to develop and deploy complex reports. Familiar with both SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2012. Proficient creating technical documentation, particularly technical diagrams. The successful candidate will likely have 4+ years of database experience. Able to analyze and communicate clearly and concisely. Able to plan, organize and prioritize tasks. Able to solve problems and able to use repeatable processes. Able to excel in a team environment by adhering to agreed upon coding standards and practices. HIGHLY DESIRABLE SKILLS: Familiar with Informix SQL. Proficient in programming languages, specifically C#. Familiar with various data transport protocols including SFTP, XML, JDXDML, NIEM Familiar with MS clustering and cluster-aware application development. Familiar with SQL Server Integration Services and Business Intelligence Development Studio. Familiar with various data transport options including fixed width and XML. Ideal candidate can develop and deploy web services. The successful candidate will likely have 1+ years of programming experience. Experience in windows environments is preferred. OTHER DESIRABLE SKILLS: Familiar with OLAP cube development and processing. Familiar with Linux operating system. Understanding of networking principles.
