*Duration: 12+ Months* *Interview mode: Phone then F2F* *Below is the short list of the minimum requirements that a candidate must have to be considered. * *Minimum 3 years of hands-on Websphere Application Server ND experience in administration and deployment of applications in a clustered environment.* *Minimum 3 years of Linux administration hands on experience, Red Hat preferred* *LDAP administration experience. * Understanding of NFS and other mounted file system. Understanding of digital certificate management and Certificate Signing Request (CSR) Subversion SVN experience preferred Specific tasks planned for the System Administrator, 1*.Administer Websphere, monitor current website and promote applications into production.* *2.Administer Linux environments in support of production, development and testing.* 3.Administer LDAP 4.Make sure platforms are at the latest patch levels and execute plan to upgrade software that is reaching end of life. 5.Evaluate and mitigate critical security risks identified by security scans. 6.Implement best practices for log management, including which logs should be turned on and what should be captured. Configure QRadar to send notifications on specific alarms/errors identified in the logs. 7.Manage Subversion SVN and troubleshoot issues 8.Manage digital certificates and Certificate Signing Requests (CSR) 9.Configure TKLM (Tivoli Key Lifecycle Manager) to automatically catalog certificates and keys. *Description* Under supervision and direction and with considerable latitude for independent judgment the System Administrator’s role consists of: •Managing and tuning in-house computer systems and network connections to ensure high levels of availability •Securing and supporting the agency platforms and business applications •Deployment of software in a clustered environment •Performance-tune servers and storage platforms to ensure high levels of availability, data quality and security. *Responsibilities* *Operational Management* •Manage various server operating systems and end-user software. •Manage communications and connection solutions as related to applications and tools. •Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers, multiple databases, and during data transfer in accordance to business needs and industry best-practices. •Administer Websphere Application Server and deploy software in a clustered environment. •Anticipate, identify and resolve hardware and software problems on servers. Escalate incidents as necessary. •Analyze system, server, application, network, and input/output device performance and prepare summary reports. •Schedule and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches and reconfigurations. •Manage digital certificates. Renew and install as needed. •Anticipate, identify, mitigate and respond to storage access problems, retrieval issues, and storage device status issues. •Ensure that information storage and retention measures and equipment adhere to all guidelines. Recommend changes where necessary. •Perform tasks necessary to fulfill service level agreements with end-users regarding storage allocations, security and availability. •Enforce, through system procedures, data storage retention policies. •Follow change control, incident response, and testing processes for modifications to storage appliances and software. •Monitor, analyze, and predict trends for storage equipment performance, space allocation, and data growth to recommend enhancements. •Perform storage server/database transaction and security audits leading to identification and mitigation of security threats to enterprise data.
