*.Job Description:*• Installs, configures and maintains the operating systems. • Analyzes and resolves problems associated with server hardware and applications software. Detects, diagnoses, and reports related problems on the server. • Duties include installing and maintaining (from a server or system perspective) operating systems, database management systems, and programming tools. • Monitors and tunes systems software and networks for optimal performance. • Also installs new user accounts, creates batch administration scripts and runs systems backups and disaster recovery operations. • System admin that understands how the pieces fit. Actual construction of designs and such, is not needed. • Skilled in WAS 6.0, 6.1 installation, tuning and troubleshooting • 4-5 years Knowledgeable in the IHS/Apache Webserver installation and tuning including plugin config • 4-5 years Knowledgeable in the Aix and Linux operating systems • 4-5 years Experience in configuring and troubleshooting Websphere application server in a multiple tier (firewall/load balancer) environment *• 4-5 years Scripting, automation knowledge, portal experience, ESB/Websphere process server* • a definite plus Knowledge of Wily Introscope toolset • 1-2 years Identification of components in the Websphere application server space, Migration, installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Websphere application server instances • Configure Websphere application server including global security, MQ, Database and CICS transaction gateway • Participate in load tests to assess statistics successful migration *Preferred Skills Required/Position Description: * • Specific expertise in solving complex Web-based application solutions. • Analyzes designs, develops and supports all major Web information systems designs from an enterprise perspective. • Requires significant expertise in applicable and various development technologies • This role also includes working as part of a team to install and manage developer applications, diagnose and repair problems, and successfully integrate complex solutions • Responsible for maintaining and supporting JAVA applications •Gathers and analyzes requirements • Programs all or selected components of Web or Java applications • Documents components and applications. • Researches, evaluates and recommends new tools and applications for use in assigned responsibilities • Demonstrates rapid ability to seek, evaluate, and come up to speed on new technologies and processes • Independently writes and reviews design specifications, code, and unit tests. • Troubleshoots and resolves medium to high complexity application defects.
