The Guide Web Services team is seeking an experienced Software QA Engineer with strong problems solving and critical thinking skills to help our team. This is a position for a self-starter who has strong organizational and technical skills, and an ability to formulate test strategies and plans for complex and challenging projects with limited direction. *Key Responsibilities:* •Work with Software developers to ensure the application meets technical requirements and customer expectations. •Create manual and automated test cases from requirement documentation. •Execute manual and automated test cases. •Create software defect reports in the defect tracking system. •Organize and prioritize testing tasks as needed to meet project timelines. *Qualifications:* •A BS degree in Computer Science or related engineering field required. *•6+ years’ experience in software quality assurance required.* •Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills are required. •Experience with using automated test frameworks. •Solid UNIX/Linux experience a plus. •Hands on experience with Grey Box and Black Box testing required. •Hands on experience with relational database concepts and SQL queries. •Experience testing Web Services(SOAP and REST protocols) and server applications without a UI required. •Knowledge of popular and current, television programs, movies, sports, and celebrities. •Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing requirements and schedules.
