- A minimum of 8+ years of development experience across multiple
platforms
- Strong understanding of software best practices as it applies to web
application, integration service and REST API development
- Expertise in C#, WebAPI, and MVC in vNext / Mono in a .NET Framework
4.5 environment
- Experience with:
- deploying, configuring and tuning common application servers and
packages, including container-based application deployment (e.g., Docker)
- web-based technologies of one or more of the following: ASP.Net,
MVC, IIS, WCF, REST, JSON, SOAP
- Agile development methodologies (SCRUM)
- Language-Integrated Query (LINQ)
- web-scale projects, software design, project management and
implementation tools
- unit test frameworks, dependency injection and application
profiling
- Exposure to VNext / CoreCLR technology, ideally participation in the
early access program of Microsoft’s C# and MVC cross-platform
implementations
- Experience:
- implementing RESTful services that go beyond simple database access
(i.e., calls out to other externally-hosted web services such as
SOAP/REST)
- mentoring teams that are new to C# and ASP.NET technology
- in SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, S3, Mongo, Redis,
Memcache, BigQuery, ElastiCache, or Event Store
- in design patterns, both high-level (e.g., GoF) and those idiomatic
to C# and MVC
- in object-oriented analysis and design using UML
- Proficiency with:
- computer operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS X, and Unix
/ Linux (e.g., shell scripting, troubleshooting)
- asynchronous programming (e.g., Task Parallel Library, async,
await)
- Understanding of service-oriented architecture
- Extensive knowledge in Visual Studio, Visual Studio.NET and Git /
GitHub
- Significant experience with tuning and refactoring code, and assessing
the impact of architectural decisions on performance and scalability
