REREQUISITES BS, BA or equivalent work experience Prior experience in supporting medical affairs IIT systems/applications is preferred Experience in Healthcare or Pharmaceutical setting preferred POSITION TITLE: Medical Operations Business Systems Specialist. Location: Summit NJ Long term position with possible extension Responsibilities under the direction of the IIT system owner will include, but are not limited to the following: General System Accountability: - Helps to manage IIT system user perception and promotes adoption/maintenance both within and outside of Medical Operations - Assesses quality of system information maintenance/reporting within teams and across studies and therapeutic areas to ensure system compliance and identify teams who need support - Works to identify problems or issues with IIT system, ensures appropriate root cause assessment and problem resolution in a timely manner, as well as communication to system management - Documents new IIT system related business processes, revises/supports existing processes (including SOPs, Guidance Documents, tools, and training materials), responsible for ensuring compliance to company, local laws and agency regulations and related guidance relative to system business usage - Creates project communication plans, reports on project(s) status to supervisor and MATRIX Steering Committee meetings System Maintenance: - Works with key stakeholders and third party vendor to prioritize and document data update requests (Hotfixes) as well as overall system updates (Patches) in order to maintain overall system integrity User Access Control: - Establishes criteria for controlling user access to the various features of the system including the prerequisites required to be met prior to granting user access to specific system roles and with the support of IT, confirms that user access and assigned roles and permissions are consistent with business needs User Training and Support: - Identifies training needs, leads and collaborates in the development of training materials, and coordinates training related to enhancement of IIT system and processes Data Integrity: - Ensures the availability, reliability and security of the data stored in the system Reporting: - Generates ad-hoc reports and custom data extractions as needed, while working with stakeholders to understand which reports should be automated based on re-occurring business needs - Conducts customer analytics and data mining to generate monthly reports/ad hoc global reports to assist Medical Affairs team to identify global signals and trends Position Skills/Knowledge Required: - Must be a team player and be willing to work in an environment where individual initiative and accountability to the team is required - Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, as well as ability to present and explain technical information to the business team. - Strong PC and Microsoft Suite experience required - Previous system management/oversight from a business perspective - Familiarity with System Development Life Cycle Methodology - Able to understand and develop solutions for complex business process/system driven problems, including ability to optimize business process through the strategic deployment and utilization of key technologies - Demonstrated experience managing and collaborating in a team/matrix work environment.
