*Position: Informatica Admin* *Location: Albany, NY* *Duration: 6+ Months.* *Need Local candidates.* *Job Description* The Data Integration Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the data integration (ETL) platform supporting one or more for data warehouse implementations that deliver diverse reporting and analytic capabilities to health and human services customers in the public and private sector. This role installs, configures and maintains the ETL application(s), addresses issues, informational requests and updates, and assures that the architecture follows data warehouse best practices. This individual works with DW architects, data architects, developers, hardware/software engineers, DBAs, application vendors and managed services to ensure enterprise DW solutions are reliable, scalable, flexible and low maintenance. This position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. The candidate must demonstrate expertise in data warehouse concepts, practices, and procedures, has technical hands on experience implementing data warehouse solutions, has strong communication skills and the ability to provide consultation to customers and collaborate internally on complex projects as a the top level contributor/specialist. This candidate should also be able to find creative solutions to complex and diverse business requirements. This position typically reports to an ETL lead architect. *Roles and responsibilities* . Review business and technical requirements and ensure the data integration platform meets requirements Apply industry best practices for ETL configuration and design Lead configuration and implementation of end-to-end complex ETL system using Informatica (or related) tools Plan and assist on ETL implementations for team utilizing Informatica (or related) tools Produce written deliverables for technical design, system testing and implementation activities Install ETL systems that are operationally stable, efficient and automated Implement technical solutions that are scalable, aligned with the enterprise architecture and can adapt to changes in business Construct development, test and production environments for ETL implementations Implement parallel processing, load balancing, near real-time and real-time ETL processes Ensure adherence to architectural governance standards and practices Develop best practices, standards of excellence, and guidelines for programming teams Handle user provisioning and security on the ETL platform Assist with the integration of ETL toolsets to data sources Monitor and improve the performance of ETL applications Work with data centers to determine data storage and archiving needs Configure and manage metadata management components of the ETL tool Work with DBAs, application specialists and technical services to tune performance of the system to meet performance standards and SLAs Assist in the development, documentation and application of best practices and procedures that govern DW implementations and operations *About Systel:* Systel is a professional services organization providing IT staff augmentation, IT product development and Business process outsourcing services.
