TITLE: Senior EDI Business Analyst LOCATION: Rosemont, IL TERM: 3 months with potential for extension MOI: Phone and F2F Need GC or USC Only SKILLS- Key requirements: Agile experience. The day to day of this position requires gathering business requirements, QA/testing and interfacing with customers and customers IT. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Training: Bachelor's degree or demonstrated equivalent industry experience; IIBA Certification preferred. Related Experience: o Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT, including 3 years’ experience in a business analyst role. o Minimum of 1 year project work specific to EDI, eCommerce, B2B or systems integration strongly preferred. o Experience in a food, CPG or foodservice systems environment, preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: o Strong Group Facilitation Skills o Good written & verbal communication skills o Familiarity with project management concepts & tools (Agile and waterfall) o Prior experience with modeling languages (UML or BPMN) for representation of use-cases and business requirements and HP Quality Center for QA & testing o Familiarity with business process modeling tools (i.e. ARIS, webMethods) o Experience with JIRA developing backlog and issue logs, preferred DESCRIPTION: BASIC PURPOSE: The Senior Business Analyst will drive the definition and documentation of business requirements for Sales and Merchandising projects, and will translate business requirements into design documents and other deliverables. This role will facilitate documentation and management of all Product Backlog User Story definition. The Senior Business Analyst will assist the Project Manager/Scrum Master in driving the change management protocol for user story grooming exercises. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: o Contributes to the Team Charter; dependencies, impact areas, background. o Facilitate discussion between the product owner and the technical team to drive definition and implementation of business requirements. o Facilitates project team in development and refinement of User Stories. o Facilitates documentation and management of a project's Product Backlog. o Facilitates communication and understanding across the project team. o Collaborates with the Product Owner to develop feature based business requirements (Product Features and User Stories), including EDI mapping specifications as needed, to continuously deliver business value. o Provides understanding of software architecture concepts to help bridge the gap between developers and the business and demonstrate how features will be implemented in the resulting system. o Provides value to the project team by helping the team coalesce around the project and sprint iteration objectives, understanding the requirements at a lower level of detail, and bringing the team together to deliver an acceptable outcome. o Where necessary, fill the role of a customer proxy; understand the needs of the customer and translate those needs to the development team. o Facilitates workshops to document As Is and To Be work process flows. o Develops training approach with business. o Coordinate and manage customer set-up for integration projects. Participate in daily support related issues. o Coordinate and maintain configurations on 3rd party vendor websites. SUPERVISION o Provides mentoring to less senior business analysts and other team members. o Provides balanced feedback to team.
