*Position: Data Engineer/ Architect* *Location: New York City, NY* *Duration: 6+ Months Contract* * Job Requirements:* · Establish standards and methodology for development (coding standards), testing, debugging and implementation. · Experience in working with data – analysis, transformation and mapping · Exposure in working on data oriented systems for medium to large scale banks · Responsible for high-level support of issues relating to architecture and design of application · Recognize, communicate & use interdependencies between components in and outside of the group in the new system. · Should have general knowledge of the supported/related business areas and understand technology impact on supported business areas. · Work with management to establish and use different software development methodologies such as Agile Development or regular waterfall model which will be fit as per the need. · Ensure that high-level business requirements have been decomposed properly into useable functional requirements. * Knowledge & Experience:* · Must have prior proven experience in coding, development and testing of programs & modules. · Big Data Toolsets – Hive, HUE, Hadoop File Systems, Spark Programming (knowledge in SQL Context and Hive Context, Data Frame operations etc) , Python · Value Adds : Paxata, Spark MlLib · Knowledge of ETL infrastructures, AbInitio, Java, Oracle database is must. · Must have prior proven experience in building successful systems from ground up. · Technology: The individual must have minimum of 3 years in Big Data, ETL, and Oracle.
