*DURATION- 4+ Months Contract* *MODE OF INTERVIEW: Phone and Skype* Important Skills • Full stack developer (UI, middle tier, DB) with an emphasis on the middle tier. • Strong programming skills in an object oriented language (preferably Java and/or C#). • Knowledge of SQL and familiarity with common DB Tools such as MS SQL Server Management Studio and/or Navicat. *Overall Summary* Natixis Global Asset Management is looking for a developer with OOP/OOD skills and a Math background. The candidate will be part of a team developing mathematical in nature financial software applications. *Major Responsibilities* • Participate in requirement gathering, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of financial software applications. • Provide on call application support during on and occasionally off hours. *Experience/Skills Required* • Full stack developer (UI, middle tier, DB) with an emphasis on the middle tier. • Strong programming skills in an object oriented language (preferably Java and/or C#). • Knowledge of SQL and familiarity with common DB Tools such as MS SQL Server Management Studio and/or Navicat. (Experience with MS SQL Server and/or MySQL is preferable.) • Understanding of the software development cycle. • Ability to test code using standard methodologies – unit, integration, and regression testing. (Knowledge of JUnit is a plus.) • Familiarity with at least one common IDE (such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, etc.). • Efficient communication with users, teammates, and management. • Ability to work independently as well as with others. • Familiarity with IT processes and procedures. • Math major/minor and/or knowledge of Statistics, Probability, and Linear Algebra. • Computer science major, or minor, or equivalent experience. *Experience/Skills Preferred* • Experience with MATLAB, Mathematica, Maple, SAS, R, or any other mathematical modeling software. • Familiarity with financial mathematics. • Basic understanding of financial instruments and their properties (that is, understanding the difference between Bond, Equity, Derivative, etc.).
