position, please send the resume vivek.ya...@infogium.com *Position:-* *Performance Engineer* *Location:-* *Windsor Mills* *Duration:-12+month* * Only USC/GC* *Position Description* The Performance Engineer will be a member of the Master Data Management (MDM) Architecture Team; he or she will report to the Chief Architect and work with technical leads to improve the design, operations and performance of the MDM system. The main goals for this positions are: 1) improve the existing production jobs and workflows by automating, streamlining, and removing performance and operational bottlenecks; 2) to propose and actively support implementation of tools and automation techniques that improve efficiency and performance of MDM jobs, workflows, and other system components. *Roles and Responsibilities* - Collaborate with solution and data architects to ensure best-practice and optimal performance standards and requirements are being met by the system design - Participate in system capacity planning, including infrastructure upgrades and system scalability aspects - Collaborate with the Development team to design and develop new tools and methods to measure ETL and data service performance - Perform application/software tuning on available resources, and prepare analysis and recommendations for any required resource improvements - Collaborate with the Operations team to address critical performance issues and/or production incidents. - Orchestrate job automation for optimal performance and dependability - Ensure that the best practices for UNIX and Mainframe OS are in place and being followed - To address critical situations, the performance engineer may need to participate in the following Operations team activities: o Troubleshoot production errors in Informatica ETL sessions, DB2 JCL jobs, UNIX integration scripts, Data Services, and other MDM system components o Monitor and troubleshoot IBM WebSphere data services. o Monitor IBM Infosphere MDM operations and maintenance. o Develop/modify/interpret reporting logs and dashboards o Monitor resources, configure alerts, and take proactive action to resolve any repeating issues *Required Education and Experience* - B.S. degree in a technical field or equivalent experience - Advanced knowledge of SQL and UNIX data base environments operating in a multi-platform, multi-vendor environment. - Advanced knowledge of DBMS concepts and support methodologies, performance tuning, debugging and trouble-shooting techniques, logical and physical design, stored procedures, triggers and utilities. - Proficiency in SQL and use of interactive editing tools required. - Must be detail-oriented, have a professional demeanor, proven analysis and problem-solving abilities, excellent interpersonal and writing skills, and the ability to work with those having wide-ranging levels of expertise. - Experience in and monitoring and tuning Informatica, IBM Infosphere MDM and IBM WebSphere Data Service applications - Experience with DB2 on the mainframe, Informatica ETL, IBM WebSphere and IBM InfoSphere MDM. - Experience with Performance monitoring tools like DynaTrace, CA Wily or similar tools. - Experience with performance engineering, identifying and removing processing bottlenecks in systems utilizing batch processing methods with distributed threads from mid-tier applications to DB2 zOS mainframes - Experience with infrastructure maintenance and upgrades including capacity planning, and new Infrastructure design, planning and coordination efforts *Desired Education and Experience* - 7 years’ experience in using Informatica PowerCenter, IBM Infosphere Suite (Inspector, MDM Workbench, Operational Server), IBM WebSphere. - Experience in DB2 performance monitoring and tuning; DB2 error analysis, troubleshooting and problem resolution - Experience with SQL*net or ODBC connectivity; physical and logical database design; change management procedures, scripting, stored procedures, triggers and alerts. 5 years’ hands-on experience in high availability production environments Regards… Vivek Yadav Infogium Technologies, LLC vivek.ya...@infogium.com| Contact: +1-678-648-8256 | www.infogium.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP Resource Center" group.
