*ESB (MuleSoft) Administrator/Developer* *Location: Chevy Chase, MD (Phone then Skype)* *Duration: 6 MONTHS (USC,GC,EADGC)* *Phone/Skype* *GEICO* ** A minimum of 3 years of experience administering Mule Soft ESB solutions in complex systems and business environments is a must * API Management, Data Transformation and Mapping Skills, Orchestration using BPMN and BPEL is desired * Scripting Skill sets: Python, PowerShell, Perl and Shell scripting (BASH or Korn) is a plus * Deep understanding of various protocols such as REST, HTTP, MQ, AMQP is desired * Knowledge of UNIX (Linux/AIX), Microsoft Server (2008 and above) is required * Experience using Oracle (11g and higher), SQL Server is preferred * Daily Responsibilities: As an Enterprise Service Bus Engineer, you will participate in requirements definition, design, development and implementation of Mule Soft Enterprise Service Bus suite adhering to SOA standards and best practices. The candidate will participate in proof of concept projects to validate various solutions/tools and will be responsible for developing the specifications that document format, structure and semantics of the data for the source/ target applications. Additional responsibilities include automating Mule Soft ESB system builds and overall life-cycle, troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement ESB standards and best practices. Finally, the candidate will be responsible for providing 24x7 support as required for releases and maintenance. * Participate in requirements definition, design, development and implementation of Enterprise Service Bus suit adhering to SOA standards and best practices. * Install, configured and maintain Mule ESB, API gateway and rabbit MQ for production and non-production environment. * Ability to work with off-the-shelf application ESB solutions and implement it to be supportable, scalable and highly available. * Automate ESB system builds and overall life-cycle from an operations perspective. * Troubleshoot complex technical issues at all levels of the application technology stack. * Recommend and implement the ESB standards and best practices. * Document, collaborate and mentor other team members to insure knowledge and skills are shared and enhanced. * Perform product version upgrade as required by compliance and/or business need * Monitor all components for Maximum availability and provide 24x7 support when doing on-call duties for the team. * Identify opportunities for tuning components such as, but not limited to OS, JVM configuration and broker. * Work with various vendors to resolve issues in an efficient and timely manner. * Effectively communicate (written and oral) with customers, vendors, management and fellow associates.
