Need: Peoplesoft Architect

Location: Boston, MA 

Rate: $60-70/hr. {DOE} 

The client is seeking an individual with a minimum of 7 years
Oracle/PeopleSoft experience with at least 5 complete PeopleSoft upgrades to
serve as technical performance testing and tuning expert on the HRCMS 9.0
upgrade project. In addition, upgrade experience should include upgrades of
HR, Payroll, and Time & Labor with employee populations over 50,000, 2000+
users and terabyte sized databases.  The individual must possess hands on
technical expertise with PeopleSoft version 8.9 or 9.0, Oracle database
administration, UNIX-AIX, and PeopleSoft upgrade process.  

 

Skills and Competencies:

 

.         PeopleSoft performance testing and tuning experience in an
Oracle/UNIX-AIX environment

.         Previous experience in the role of technical upgrade specialist on
upgrade projects to HCM 9.0

.         Excellent knowledge of the load testing tools such as LoadRunner
or Rational/Jazz.

.         Understanding of data structure changes between application
releases and impact to application functionality

.         Experience with PeopleSoft Application DBA activities including
PIA administration, configuration and tuning

.         Knowledge of and ability to provide knowledge transfer to
technical team members on PeopleSoft and testing tools and technologies such
as Integration Broker, Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine,
Security from a PS Admin perspective, and Workflow

.         Strong experience with AIX and UNIX.

.         Experience with SOA, JAVA/J2EE based web services; configuration
and orchestration with third party systems and PeopleSoft

.         Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, and written
communication skills

 

 

Duties:

 

1.     PeopleSoft deployment, architecture and infrastructure assessment. 

2.     Configuration and setup of load testing tools including the
development of load testing scripts based on business transaction analysis
and interviews with business users.

3.     Initial baseline analysis and planning

4.     Performance test execution

5.     Comprehensive performance test plans that address;

*       Key business transactions 
*       Big bang scenarios 
*       Self-service data entry 
*       Database profiles and recovery 
*       Initial datasets and user profiles 
*       Recovery scripts 
*       Test parameters and configuration 
*       Pace and user concurrency 
*       Monitoring metrics 
*       Test schedule

6.     Results analysis and tuning

*       Database, middleware, OS and web log review and recommendations 
*       CPU and memory utilization 
*       Bandwidth/throughput 
*       Hits per second 
*       Context switching 
*       Library cache hit ratios 
*       Response times
